The ask

We don't sell a catalog of houses. Every home we build is designed for one person or one family. Before our crew frames a single wall, a designer finds out who the home is for and draws a plan that fits them.

You're our newest designer. Pick a client, learn what they need, and design their tiny house. Then show it to us in a way that sells it.

Why the size limit

Our homes go on trailers, in backyards as accessory units, and on small lots in tiny house villages. 650 sq ft is the largest home those lots and our crews are set up for. Bigger than that and it isn't a tiny house any more — it's just a small house.

What we need from every designer

Know the Market Research

Real tiny homes that fit our limit: cost, size, materials, how they're built, sustainable and luxury options, and the types that exist.

Know the Client Client profile

Their interests, needs and style. A design that fits everyone fits no one.

Build-Ready Plan Scaled floor plan

Drawn to scale with a ruler. Walls, doors, windows and fixtures in standard symbols. Dimensioned.

Then sell it two more ways

Pick two: an exterior elevation, an interior design plan, a landscape design plan, a cost analysis, a tiny house community plan, a mixed material model, a Bergen County community impact proposal, or a custom idea you clear with your supervisor (Mr. Hubbard).

Drawing standards

Every drawing is to scale, drawn with a ruler, and labeled with the scale. Every drawing carries a title block: name, date, class, teacher and project title. Lines are neat and the right type — wall, hidden, dimension. The home's style should be your client's, not yours.
